NOAA Number : 8375

A gradual flare with many spikes in NOAA 8375 started at 23:42 on Nov. 4. The duration was more than 3 hours. Patchy structure in the early phase evolved into a long loop (or arcade) + one bright patch (sunspot associated).

160 min. after the beginning of the event, two far away active regions were activated successively (1 hour apart). If we assume that these activations were caused by a disturbance initiated by the flare in NOAA 8375, the propagation speeds along the surface were 65.9 km/s and 65.7 km/s respectively.
